Jersey Intensity wins Three Gold Medals at US Field Hockey National Festival in Palm Springs, CA
After months of training the Jersey Intensity Field Hockey club proved once again why it's considered one of the top field hockey clubs in the nation. JIFH won more Gold Medals at this year's festival than any other club in the entire country. The U-19 Black performed flawlessly ending with a perfect 6-0 record and not conceding a single goal all tournament. The U-19 Blue team went undefeated as well ending with a 5-0-1 record. The U-16 Teal Team also finished on top of their pool with a 5-1 record.
Jersey Intensity sent five teams to this year's festival (Three U-19 teams and two U-16 teams) with all teams playing great hockey in front of the many college coaches in attendance.
Coaches Nigel Traverso, Richard Cox, Kellie Nurko, Kelly Monahan and Ashleigh Pecherski prepared the girls well for the trip!
With the three Gold Medals Jersey Intensity is guaranteed three coveted festival spots for next year's tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. Trials for the 2010 festival teams will be on April 24th and May 1st. More information available soon.
